Step 1: we first understand the client’s objectives, key communications messages, brand values/identity, as well as budget
Step 2: we dive into deep research starting with competitors within the same or different markets. But we do not just limit ourselves to the same sector, as inspiration can come from anywhere so we broaden our research to get more insights and ideas
Step 3: this drives us to the ideation phase where we brainstorm on the different findings and ideas that we have that are then solidified by the art director with a final mood board and direction that aligns with step 1 of course.
Step 4: After the client’s approval, we dive into a detailed execution plan:
- Location
- Product Selection
- Storyboard
- Script
- Styling
- Props
- Characters / Model Choices
- Live Casting
- Music style
- Visual style
- Logistical requirements
- Chronology of the looks/shots to be taken
Step 5: a meeting is required with all parties involved in the shoot to ensure 100% alignment on all the above as well as on the outcome we are aiming to achieve
Step 6: During the shoot day, the reference of all defined elements should be available for easier reference and greater efficiency. Each member efficiently plays their role and the art director oversees the content being produced in real time
Step 7: the editing phase is one of the toughest as it requires a first review of all the footage and make a first selection before staring any work. Once that is done, the montage of the video starts while ensuring all the visual, sound, and musical elements align with the mood board.
